find the mistakes and resolve it
If you are an experienced computer user, then problems when running it can be easily identified. This section may help you find the cause of these problems. Choose Online Support from the Help menu.
1. Help and how-to windows are not available when opened from within a web browser. To access the Help button or how to create a window from a task button, start it from outside your Web browser’s Troubleshooting Information, or choose Online Support from the Help menu in Adobe Reader.

4. You can drag how to display a window anywhere on the screen. 6. Windows XP and 2000 included Microsoft Magnifier, an accessibility tool that served as the interface. On start, this tool activates accessibility in Adobe Reader until you terminate it. Every time you open a PDF document, the following message appears, “Please wait while the document is being prepared for reading.” To reduce the time it takes to prepare a PDF document for reading, set the Document Page preference to read only pages that are currently visible in Reading preferences. Setting the reading order preference to the reading order in the raw print stream also speeds up this process, but may interfere with the job magnifier.
7. To improve startup time and performance for Adobe Reader, defragment your hard drive with Disk Utility before installing this program. You can use the disk that was included with your operating system or the utility. Hard drives become fragmented through normal use (for example, installing and uninstalling applications, adding and deleting files). Over time, the computer is unable to locate contiguous blocks of free space and saves files in fragments across the hard drive, increasing the time required to open those files. The hard drive groups files together and improves performance.
8. If you scan a PDF file into Notepad with a scanner, the resulting data may contain null bytes or illegal characters (characters that cannot be typed on a keyboard). This data may implement desktop shortcuts that open windows. The problem does not occur with all scanners. There is no solution
9. If you open a PDF file in AOL 6.0 to 9.0, the file opens in a text editor. Save the PDF file to your hard drive and open it in Adobe Reader.
10. Mac OS X v. 1 is required. 10.3 or later and Safari 1.2.2 or later to use Adobe Reader in a browser window.
11. Although Adobe has tested Adobe Reader 7.0.7 on future versions of the Mac OS, these operating systems are not supported by Adobe Reader because final testing was not completed when Adobe Reader 7.0.7 was released.
12. If you paste the character U+3400 in the search field and perform a search, the search fails even if the character is present in the PDF document you are searching for. The same goes for U+3500, U+3600, and U+3700. Type the letter U+3400 into the search field instead of pasting it in.
13. If you installed Adobe Acrobat Elements 6.0 after installing the full version of Adobe Reader 7.0, you may encounter an Acrobat Elements error when trying to convert a file to PDF asking if you want to run the installer in repair mode. If you click Yes, the next time you try to convert a file to PDF in Acrobat Elements, the same error will appear. Install Acrobat Elements 6.0 before installing Adobe Reader 7.0.7 to ensure that both applications are installed in the same folder. (Acrobat Elements 6.0 does not allow you to specify the installation location.) Please note that installing Adobe Reader 7.0.7 does not remove Adobe Reader 6.0 installed by Adobe Items in the same folder. Installing Adobe Reader 6.0 (other than the download version) does not interfere with the functionality of Adobe Reader 7.0.7.

Use the following keyboard shortcuts to move between the document and the Help window and how the window works:
F1 – Opens the Help window and moves the focus to the first item on the Help Contents tab. If the Help window is already open, pressing F1 returns focus to the last selection. Enter key Opens the selected help topic. Press the up and down arrow keys to select other help topics.
Alt + Tab – These tabs move the focus between the open Help window and the document.
Shift + F1 Moves focus to the How window only if you are in the Document, not if you are in the Help window.
